Day 1 - Monday
The girls enjoyed a welcome and morning tea with their "buddies" and familiarised themselves with the College grounds. They also attended their first classes.
Day 2 - Tuesday
International W omen's Day is celebrated at the College with a morning Assembly and lunch time Market Stalls. The group enjoyed the activities and classes before taking a short drive to Highfields Pioneer Village (http://www.highfieldspioneervillage.com.au/). Here they participated in an Indigenous workshop learning to throw a Boomerang, make Billy Tea and enjoyed Damper (a traditional Australian bread baked in the coals of a campfire.)
The group took a bus trip to Brisbane and visited Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary (http://www.koala.net/index.php?lang=en) Lone Pine is a wonderful opportunity to get up close to the Australian Wildlife and the girls took the opportunity to feed Kangaroos & Lorikeets and cuddle Koalas.
Day 5 - Friday
The girls walked to a local park close to the College (Laurel Bank Park) to experience some of the lovely gardens.
Day 7 - Dreamworld (Gold Coast)
The beautiful Gold Coast provided an exciting day for the girls on Sunday. The group boarded a bus for a 2 hour drive to the Gold Coast where they walked on the beach followed by a day at Dreamworld (https://www.dreamworld.com.au/)
